Happy 14th Birthday, Dylan

Wednesday (the 22nd) was Dylan's 14th Birthday. He wanted to open his presents from us first thing "in case" he got some new clothes he could wear to school. He was pretty funny about it. Anyway, we let him open the clothes we got him, I made him his favorite breakfast (biscuits with chocolate syrup), and then he was off to school for the first day of his 9-week testing. After school we couldn't really do a lot to celebrate because he had to study for the next days' tests. But, we had dinner together and let him open his other gifts from us. It was fun. We did have a special birthday dinner at Tsunami the night before with the family to celebrate both his and my birthdays and that was a lot of fun!Goodness, it is so hard for me to believe that Dylan is already 14 and in the 8th grade. It seems like only yesterday that he was a little baby sitting in my lap while I rocked him to sleep. Happy Birthday, Dylan. I love you and look forward to many more years of fun with ya!
Love, Momma (and the rest of the fam)
Dylan had his Tae Kwon Do belt test and ceremony last week and made High Red. Now, he will start working towards his temporary Black Belt. We are all so proud of how well he is doing in TKD. Congratulations on what you have accomplished so far, Dyl. Good luck with the Black Belt training. Lots of love,
Patrick and Momma and the boys
