15 months old!

It is so unreal how much Logan has grown up. He changes more and more every day. Each phase of his little life is more fun than the last - for the most part. He is so sweet and inquisitive. He also likes to play with all the things he isn't supposed to!
Some of his favorite things to get ahold of are: the remote, our cell phones, the wipes, the keyboard to the computer, and any thing else he can find with fun buttons to push. His favorite foods are grapes, blueberries, strawberries and bananas. He is still a very picky eater and he may eat something one day and then next will not have a thing to do with it. He has to be in the right mood for a lot of things - which makes feeding times very difficult and especially difficult when he is being kept by someone else.
Usually what we end up doing is letting him play with one of our cell phones to distract him so we can get some of the foods in. Sad, but whatever works!
Logan is still so happy. He loves to give hugs and kisses now and he definitely loves his big brothers. We go pick Dylan up from school and Logan gets so excited when he finally spots Dylan come out. He doesn't get to see Blake very often, but he talks to him a lot on the phone. Blake can always get him laughing by saying, "Que pasa?"

We still like to look out at the dogs. Logan doesn't care that there are blinds on the windows. He has managed to rip them all out of their slots so that he can look outside at the dogs. And, here lately there have been workers in the back yard working on Patrick's shop, so that is even more incentive to jerk the blinds out of the way!
We still read several books a day. I have gotten him some new ones so that we can learn and read something new. I got tired of the same ol' books over and over. We just got a new one that has all kinds of animals in it and he absolutely loves it. His favorite picture is the Lion and he points at it and goes, "Da, da!" He gets so excited.
Wednesday Logan had his 15 month check up and he did not appreciate the shots. I know this is a pitiful picture, but I was trying to get some of him on the day he turned 15 months. He was not in the mood for pictures.
He weighed 25 lbs. 10 oz. - 75th percentile
Height was 33.5 inches - 90th percentile
I don't know what his head measurement was, but it was the 75th percentile.
Dr. Whitaker said everything looks good. We just need to get Logan off that morning bottle. That will take us some time. The sad part is that I am the one who really isn't ready for him to get off of it. It is the only time Logan will lay back and let me hold and rock him. I kind of cherish that moment every day and am going to be so sad to give it up. He does let me hold him to read him books, but it's not the same. I love when he is having his bottle that he will just lay there and look up at me so still. It is the sweetest thing!

Logan is definitely becoming daddy's little boy. He loves it when his daddy comes home from work. I love it too!!! They really are so sweet together and Logan has the best daddy in the world!
We took Logan out to look at the lake the other day and he loved looking at the water. He got so excited (and tried to get real close). We are going to take him to the lake on Memorial weekend at some point, so that ought to be fun. Hopefully, the water will warm up a LOT before then.
Logan had his 1st popcicle on his 15 month birthday. He loved it! Daddy caught this cute picture of him sharing one with me. It was a very warm day, so after the popcicle he played in the water hose while his daddy cleaned off the driveway.
Logan loves to be outside. I enjoy taking him out right now, but it is going to be very difficult the warmer it gets. I think in August it is going to be a 6-7 am thing. There is no way I can get out there and chase him around after that in the heat - especially as big as I am going to be!
Bring on the water hose....

I thought all these pictures were so cute and showed all the fun that Logan had playing in the water. His facial expressions were priceless and he was squealing the entire time.
Patrick and I feel so blessed to have Logan. He is such a special and wonderful boy and we now look at our lives and wonder what we did without him. He does the funniest things and we both have a hard time keeping our composure!
He also has developed quite an attitude that I should mention. If he has something that he wants and shouldn't have, good luck trying to get it. He runs from you and hides and puts a death grip on it until you pry it away from him. It's funny to talk about, but not too funny to deal with.
He has also started hitting and kicking me. He only does it to me and is not doing it to be hateful, but rather just to see what I am going to do and how I will react. I'll just go ahead and put it out there - I am a believer in spankings and Logan has had a few, but for the most part he is such a good boy and as long as you keep him focused and busy, he will stay out of things. It's when you try to do your own thing that gives you a problem. That is when he will try to climb the stairs or play in the office on the keyboard!
We love you little Logan~!
Happy 15 months.

Cory's Bachelorette Weekend

Saturday morning Chappell and I headed down to Kiawah Island for our friend, Cory's, Bachelorette weekend. Everyone got there Friday night, so we were a little late, but it was still so much fun. Driving in was so beautiful! The trees were draped over the road and had so much Spanish moss hanging from it. I took a couple of pictures because I have never seen it so beautiful!Once we got there, we met all the other girls in town for some lunch and then we all headed out to the beach for a little bit. It was so relaxing and fun!
Then the lingerie shower started. Here is sweet little Cory getting ready to open the gifts. Isn't she going to be such a beautiful bride?
After the shower we all went to dinner at Blossoms in Charleston. It was so good! Luckily, Elizabeth and I split the steak meal so I didn't eat to much or waste any food!
From left: Jennifer, Elizabeth, Traci, Katie, Cory, Sara, Meg, Randy, Ashley, and Chappell.
We all went out after dinner to a couple of bars and Cory had a list of things she had to achieve. Most of them involved talking to a guy to get something from him, or have him do something. We met some really nice Irish guys (here in the picture with us) who helped us with one of the many tasks!
One of Cory's tasks - Kissing a bald man!
Another - taking a puff from a cigar
This guy helped Cory out a lot with the list. He talked a lot of people into helping her also!
This was one of his friends that he had let Cory put make up on. How funny is that?

One of the final tasks we got accomplished was to have this guys sing a song to Cory. It was nice meeting so many good sports.
We had such a fun time this weekend and are really looking forward to Cory and Matt's big day!
Congratulations, Cory and Matt!

Crazy Boys!

Friday after the zoo, Logan and I went over to Grams house so Logan could meet Daddy's cousin, Lisa and her daughter, Caroline. Logan loved him some Caroline. He kept walking by her and giving her this shy little smile and finally he just went over to her and sat in her lap. It was so funny. He loves a pretty girl!Caroline helping Logan down the slide. He would rather run down it than sit and slide.
Logan found the Noah's ark at Grams house and loved all the animals. He loves to give everything kisses - which is what he is doing in this picture.
I love the way he entertains himself. It is so sweet!
Friday night after Logan's bath, we sat and played in all his books. He loves to read (as I know you have already seen me mention) and he sat there forever going through all of his books.
He was excited about something in this picture

Logan loves to play on his chair. It is really funny to see him sit in it like a grow up.

Such a happy baby!

Dylan came down to play with Logan after a while. He babysat for us so we could have a date night. Patrick and I went to the boat and just hung out with a lot of the people who keep their boats up at the marina where we do. We had the best time!
Such sweet brothers!

Thanks for babysitting for us, Dylan!!!

Trip to the Zoo

Friday Logan and I met our friends, Elizabeth, James, and Maddox at Chick Fil A for lunch and then went to the zoo for a little while. We had a great time and all the boys were so great! It was extremely busy but it was still so much fun!Logan excited to be going in!
The bears were out and very playful!
Logan couldn't see that well, so I got him out so he could take in the excitement. He just didn't want to get back in the stroller afterwards though.
James, Maddox, and Logan watch the sea lions

Logan is always amazed at the gorilla
Look how huge this turtle is!
I just love giraffes!

We had a great time and will definitely be going back to the zoo very soon!

20 weeks - Halfway there!

Today Patrick and I went to my 20 week ultrasound and got to see lots of little Hampton. He was so so cute and we got several 4-D pictures that were pretty cool. Everything looked wonderful on him and he had no cysts and everything looked to be developing normally. We are still praying that he grows strong and healthy and the doctors and stenographer seem to think we have no need to worry. She looked at his heart and said it looked really good so there is no need to send me to a specialist to do further testing (Remember - Logan has the aortic stenosis and it tends to be familial). So we are really thankful for that. Patrick and I both thought that the baby looked a lot like Logan. Of course, you know we think we are proficient in reading ultrasounds at this point :)
Since I still don't have a scanner, I took a picture of my favorite pic and posted it. It is so sweet. Here is his little foot. Several people have asked me where the pictures of my development are and I finally got Patrick to take a couple. I am not sure if the pants I was wearing fit me weird, but to me my stomach looks a little deformed. It's flat in the front or something - I don't know. Maybe it is because there is so much extra skin and filling there right now it can't shape into a ball! Who knows. But there it is - the baby bump!

I talked with the doctor today about all my worries and she helped me understand how their practice handles everything and what to expect during delivery. My main concern is the epidural and I am so glad to know that they will not let me be in pain. They will make sure I am taken care of and boy is that reassuring!
I am measuring perfectly and have gained 12 pounds. Time for that to slow down! I guess I better lay off the powdered donuts???
Now, I have got to get busy on Hampton's room and preparing for him. I only have 20 weeks left - If that!

Dylan and his Puppetry

Dylan applied and was accepted to a Puppetry program through the drama program at his school back in March. He was so excited and has absolutely LOVED it! They had practice for 4 weeks after school two days a week. Dylan would look forward to it and has even gone to two performances at the Marionette Theater already. We also found out last week that he is getting an award for the Most Outstanding Drama student for this year. So, Dylan has found his niche.
Dylan's particular part with the performance was a henchman. There were three different plays and his was Hazel and Gretel. Each child had to create a character, design it, assemble it, and learn to "operate" it. Then, they had to learn the script for the performance. It was very impressive!
Tonight Dylan performed at the Spring Festival at his school. He did so well and we were all very impressed (Patrick, Logan, Aunt Patty, Grams, Aunt Chappell, Sara Grace, Aunt Sara, Aunt Katherine, Karin, Ashley, and I were all able to come support him). There were two other performances that were also very cute. They were Snow White and Rapunzel.
Dylan during his performance
Dylan had the most intriguing voice for his character. He did such a great job. If I can ever figure out how to upload some video, I will do that so you can hear. But in case I can't, just take my word for it :).
Here are the Seven Dwarfs. I thought they were so cute. The puppets the children made were absolutely amazing! I was so impressed!
Sara Grace appreciating the performance!
Dylan being introduced
Oh yeah - they also made their own scenes and these two are the ones Dylan painted.

Didn't he do a great job? (Notice the cookie in his left hand)
