Dylan and his Puppetry

Dylan applied and was accepted to a Puppetry program through the drama program at his school back in March. He was so excited and has absolutely LOVED it! They had practice for 4 weeks after school two days a week. Dylan would look forward to it and has even gone to two performances at the Marionette Theater already. We also found out last week that he is getting an award for the Most Outstanding Drama student for this year. So, Dylan has found his niche.
Dylan's particular part with the performance was a henchman. There were three different plays and his was Hazel and Gretel. Each child had to create a character, design it, assemble it, and learn to "operate" it. Then, they had to learn the script for the performance. It was very impressive!
Tonight Dylan performed at the Spring Festival at his school. He did so well and we were all very impressed (Patrick, Logan, Aunt Patty, Grams, Aunt Chappell, Sara Grace, Aunt Sara, Aunt Katherine, Karin, Ashley, and I were all able to come support him). There were two other performances that were also very cute. They were Snow White and Rapunzel.
Dylan during his performance
Dylan had the most intriguing voice for his character. He did such a great job. If I can ever figure out how to upload some video, I will do that so you can hear. But in case I can't, just take my word for it :).
Here are the Seven Dwarfs. I thought they were so cute. The puppets the children made were absolutely amazing! I was so impressed!
Sara Grace appreciating the performance!
Dylan being introduced
Oh yeah - they also made their own scenes and these two are the ones Dylan painted.

Didn't he do a great job? (Notice the cookie in his left hand)

Wow. He did a great job. So creative to even put a cookie in his hand. What talent.

Way to go Dylan!
