Day 4 - Another day at the pool

Wednesday we decided to spend another day at the pool - we really couldn't have asked for the weather to have been more perfect!Heather and Shannon
Traci and Jen wading in the kiddie pool
I like this picture!
We all decided that we would each bring a present for each other to enjoy on our vacation. I brought everyone cute coozies, Heather bought us all beach bags (see day one and there is a picture of all of us on the beach posing with them), Jenifer brought us all towels that had our names on them and "Mexico 2008," Shannon gave us all t-shirts that said "MOD squad Mom's off Duty" that we wore during our travels on Saturday, and Linda got each of us gift baskets that had lotions, soaps and stuff like that in it. Linda's never it made it to us because she accidently left it in the car with her hubby when he dropped her off, but it's the thought that counts!
All the presents are so fun and I am glad to have them as souveniers from one of my favorite vacations ever!
Above is a picture of all of our towels lined up at the pool.

Day 3 - Xel-Ha and Tulum

We went on an excursion to Xel-Ha and Tulum on Tuesday and it was so much fun. It was very hot at the ruins, but luckily we were there in the morning and were able to get into the water at Xel-Ha by noon'ish. Before going to see the ruins
We thought this was funny that you had to get the toilet paper you needed off the wall before going into the stall. None of us could figure out why there wasn't any paper in the stalls and then someone pointed this out to us - pretty funny!

There were iguana's everywhere!!!
Linda and me playing in the clearest water I had ever seen!

Right before Jen lost her Ray Ban's in the water - we never did find them.
All of us
This is my favorite picture from the entire trip. It is so beautiful!

My BF - Jenifer

This was at Xel-Ha. We went on a trail that took us by a rope that you could swing off of into the water, we got on tubes that took us down a river, some of us tried to walk across a rope (none of us made it all the way), and we laughed harder at Jenifer than anything else. Oh - there was also a floating bridge that we walked across and once you got onto land, you were still uneasy because it still felt like you were floating!
There was also Snuba, swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, snorkeling through caves, cliff jumping (Linda did this) and a couple of other things we never made it to. They closed at 5, so by the time we got done at the ruins and ate, it was already 1, so we just simply ran out of time for a lot of stuff! We still had a blast!

Dinner at Tramonto's

Monday night we all went to dinner at one of the restaurants on the resort called Tramonto's. I ordered a 4 cheese pasta that was pretty good and a couple of people ordered steaks - they were to die for!!! I wished that I had gotten the steak after trying theirs - it was that good. We had a very nice dinner and you can tell from the pictures that I got fried in the sun that day!

We all had such a nice dinner! I sure do miss my girls already!!!

Mexico - Day 2

Monday (one week ago today :( ) we had great weather and we decided to stay at the resort and get some rays. We started out at the beach and then moved to the pool. It was so beautiful out and we reapplied and reapplied sunscreen - somehow I still managed to get burned. This is one angle of just a portion of the pool. This pool went on forever! It was so nice.

Guess what Linda's doing???
All of us lounging by the ocean and relaxing. This was the what we did most of the time and I am missing it so much!!!

Mexico - Day 1

My best friends and I went to Mexico (Playa del Carmen) for a week last week and we had the best time!!! It was my friends, Jenifer, Shannon, Linda, Heather and then me. We were all a little delayed arriving and I was the worst - I was 6 hours later than I should have been and all the girls were nice enough to wait 4 hours at the airport for me so that I didn't have to ride to the resort by myself. We finally ate dinner around 9 that night and then we crashed. The next morning it was pretty cloudy so we decided we would go into town and see some of the shopping area and go do some grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. We all got all of our souvenier shopping done and then the trip to Wal-Mart was an experience in itself! Nothing was in English so trying to by Skim milk was impossible. We didn't understand one word on that carton and all we did was laugh at ourselves during that trip. Afterwards we took a very fast, scary, and crowded taxi trip back to the resort - ahhh safe at last! Linda, Shannon, Jenifer, and Heather on the main road outside the resort trying to get a taxi

12 weeks Pregnant

I am now 12 weeks along and feeling so so much better. I still take my nausea medicine at night, but I don't have to take any during the day anymore. A few nauseous moments still hit me occasionally, but for the most part it is a lot better!
I transferred to a new doctor this week and am sooo excited about it. I was with the midwives at Lexington Women's Care, but there were a couple of things I wasn't comfortable with there and after meeting Chappell's doctor and realizing that some of the midwives practices weren't the norm, I decided to switch to a doctor. There is a new practice at Lexington called Women's Physician's of Lexington and my friend, Katherine, had heard that they were wonderful. It is going to be 4 doctors total, but right now there are 3 - the 4th is coming in August.
My first appointment with them was on Tuesday and I met with Dr. Jones (my new doctor) and she was so wonderful. She went over my medical history and baby history and spent over 30 minutes with me. She couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat with the doppler, so she took me back and did an ultrasound just to see it at least. At first I couldn't even see the heartbeat and I got a little upset and nervous, but she finally got it and then I really lost it. I was so relieved (You really don't realized how attached you already are to the baby until something like that happens). After looking at the heartbeat for a couple of minutes she told me to ask the girl that was going to do my ultrasound the next day to see if she had a guess as to what I was having because she thought she could tell. She and I both thought we saw boy parts. BUT, the next day when I came in for my routine (for their practice) 12 week ultrasound, the girl said she is definitely not convinced that those are boy parts. She thinks it is part of the umbilical cord we are seeing. I guess she should know - she sees it every day. But, I truly feel like this is another boy - so, do not be surprised if it is. And no, we do not have a name picked out yet either way.
Just to tell you why they do a 12 week ultrasound...
There is apparently a little window of opportunity (between 12-13.5 weeks) where there is a pocket between the spine and the neck that is unusually large and can show you if there are any abnormalities like down syndrom, trisomy 13, spina bifida, etc. So, that is the reason they did the ultrasound, but she said that they baby looked wonderful. So hopefully, the baby is going to come out perfectly healthy. Please pray for that. 12 weeks pregnant pictures
I am definitely showing some. It is there and now that I am 12 weeks, I have decided to embrace it. For a while I have been trying to hide it and been in denial that I am already showing, but it is my 4th baby and I am sure this is somewhat normal. So, here is the pooch!

Logan is walking and talking

On February 23rd, Logan started to walk all on his own. Patrick and Dylan were sitting in the living room watching tv and all of a sudden they realized Logan was walking along something where he didn't normally walk. Patrick said he just saw his little head take off across the floor. How fun! The previous week he had been getting more and more brave about taking that extra step between furniture fixtures, so we knew it was coming. Now he walks all over the place. He is still working on balancing and he looks so cute and wobbly! He has also realized that if he wants to get somewhere quickly, it is just easier to crawl. So, he will refuse to try and walk it even if you try and get him to. We just love to watch him and are so proud of all that he is learning!

Logan has also started repeating some words this week. (It is kind of funny that it started around the same time as his walking). He will now say, "up," "ball," "this," "sit," "dad," "dog," "momma," and "bye-bye."
It is so cute! We are working on some other words, but he is sort of stubborn (like his daddy) and will only cooperate when he is in the mood.

A day on the boat

Yesterday was so beautiful outside and coincidently Patrick needed to put fuel in the boat, so we decided to take it out for a while. We had such a nice time. Logan napped for about 45 minutes and I tried to get some sun. The water was so calm and there were several boats and sailboats out. It was so peaceful just to be on the water! Logan playing on the floor downstairs. His daddy was looking in on us and Logan was excited to see him!
He found a tag that he wanted to chew on. I don't know what his fascination is with paper - but, he certainly loves to carry paper around and tries to eat it. Weird, huh?
Mommy and Logan playing while daddy got the boat ready for us to head out.
Daddy and Logan out on the water. Logan wasn't too fond of the life jacket, but now that he is mobile, it really isn't going to be an option for him not to have it on.
Logan on the bed downstairs. He loves crawling all over the bed and he now knows that to get off of the couch or our bed he has to turn around and put his feet off first. He tried to do that on the boat, but the drop off from the bed is much much higher, so we really have to watch him and help him out.
We had such a fun day and we now really have spring fever. I hope this nice weather is here to stay!!!

Logan is on the move

This boy is just busy!
He is into everything and keeps me on my toes all day long. One of his favorite things to get ahold of is the remote and he knows he isn't supposed to! He will see it, look at you, and then try as fast as he can to get to it. Once he does, he looks at you again to see if you see him and are going to try to take it from you. If you do try to take it from him, he tries to grab your hands before you do and pushes them away. It is really funny, but he has a little temper about it - which we tend to ignore! Here he is in his "daddy-approved" outfit with the remote he found
Trying to make it work

He even knows what to look for when "operating" it

At night, Logan is just so sweet and cute. Each day we probably read about 10-20 of the same books. He likes to get them and either bring them to you to read to him or he will sit in his chair and turn the pages himself. I really hope that he enjoys reading as he grows up. He sure does now, so maybe it will stick!

Logan is so sweet! I just love these pictures of him showing how much he loves his books and how he will entertain himself.
Enjoy!
