Logan goes to the doctor

We went and made reindeer plates at Mad Platter on Friday with our friends, Elizabeth and her two boys, James and Maddox, Lauren and her son, Ramsey, and Kim with her son, Charles. It was a lot of fun and everyone's pottery turned out soooo cute. I can't wait to go back and make some more Christmas presents!!!

Logan was absolutely wonderful. He did cry when the lady did his footprints (for some reason he absolutely HATES for his feet to be painted) but after that he sat in the high chair for two hours while I painted the rest of the plates. I think he got a little restless maybe one good time, but after some juice, he was good to go!

After we left Mad Platter, Logan got to ride in the Car Grocery Cart at Publix and he was so excited to play with the steering wheel. Once we got out to the car, I grabbed my camera to take some pictures of him in it and the cutest little old man caught me and praised me for taking pictures in the parking lot of a grocery store. He told me to take as many pictures as possible because this time goes by so fast. And, boy does it! I am amazed that Logan is already 9 months old and he just gets happier, more fun, and more and more loved every day!
He went to the doctor last week and his weight was 21 lbs. 14 oz, height was 28 1/2 inches, and he dropped in percentiles in both categories which the doctor was a little concerned about. He went from 95th to 75th in height and 90th to 68th in weight. So, he said it is time to start supplementing. I am trying to do that, but after I nurse him he won't eat anymore. So, I am giving him a little more in solids right now and maybe that will help. But to be honest, I am kind of glad that his growth has slowed down some. He was sooo big. I don't want to end up with a malnurished baby, but it would be nice not to throw my back out every time I pick him up!
We tried gradually taking Logan off of his reflux medicine also, but that back-fired. He definitely is not ready for that, so I guess we will try it again when he is one.
One other funny thing the doctor said about Logan is that he is a bit dramatic! Patrick wants to know where Logan gets that. Who knows???

Pulling Up Everywhere

Logan has begun pulling up all over the place. He is such a fast crawler, so we have to keep a good eye on him. We do have a baby gate that we try to use. But he thinks he is in baby jail, so that doesn't always work. He has to be in the right mood for that!

Stuck at the stairs

Although he can pull up everywhere, he doesn't always know how to get down. He was here on the stairs and stuck!

Before we got stuck at stairs.

Our Sweet Baby at the Park

We took Logan to the park again on Friday. He sat in the swing for over an hour. He was so happy to be there!

It was also pretty special having daddy spend the afternoon with us!Posted by Picasa

Curse of the Chicken

Saturday night Patrick stayed up to watch the Arkansas/Carolina game and it was sooo sad! The gamecocks really started out well this year and then as usual we all get our hopes up just to be majorly disappointed yet again. Most of you know that I am originally from Arkansas so the game Saturday had much more meaning to me. I have never like Arkansas and that dislike has multiplied since I became a Gamecock. It probably wouldn't be so bad if there weren't such obnoxious Razorback's in my friends and family network. There are those that are decent, but then there are those who think that it is funny to call every time their team gets a good play. That truly takes the fun out of the game for me. It just makes me hate Arkansas even more. I have tried to like them, but some of the fans just make it sooo difficult. Anyway, unfortunately the Gamecocks lost, but as the saying goes..."there is always next year." I know we still have some games left, but they don't look any more promising than any we have played. And to all you Arkansas fans that are not obnoxious (And there are not that many)- congratulations on your win - you have a great running back. I will see you all in a couple of weeks. My love to all!

All Done!

We could only wear the hood of the costume for so long and then we were done with that!

Logan likes to crawl away, turn over, and usually scream during diaper changes. It has literally been a wrestling match for some time now, but I keep hoping that he will quit. And of course, that has not happened yet. This time, he ran/crawled off with the diaper. So, daddy got some cute pictures of him.

Logan and Cooper

Trick or Treating

Logan and Cooper waiting as mommy rang the doorbell and someone answered to bring them some candy. Logan was so funny - he thought that everyone who answered the door should think he is the cutest thing ever. He would just smile at them and laugh. But, when they would give him candy, he would just stare at them like..."what are you doing? You are supposed to be admiring me." Cooper was really good. As long as he had a lollipop, he was good to go.

Cooper knew what to do when they offered him candy.

We had a good time trick-or-treating Wednesday night. We went with Michael, Jennifer, Cooper, and Cooper's grandma, Ms Bailey. Patrick had to work late and Dylan wanted to go to Tae Kwon Do, so it was just Logan and me out with the Brewer's. We had to go early because of baby's schedules and all, so there were not a whole lot of houses with lights on yet. We really only went to about 5 houses. Although we passed about 25. What is wrong with people? Don't they know that some of us may have baby's (who need all that candy) who have to get in the bed around dark????

Logan at the Park

I took Logan to the park this afternoon since it was so beautiful outside. He really enjoys being in a swing. Then, add that with other children being around - and he was in heaven. He loves to be outdoors also. I have such a good baby. It was a lot of fun having some bonding time with him today. We got to stay for about 30 minutes before we had to go and get Dylan from school. We may just have to go swinging again tomorrow.Posted by Picasa

Pulling Up

Dylan (who is getting the hair cut on the 6th) and Logan after Dyl got home from school. Dylan is so good with Logan. We are actually letting him babysit some for us now. It is a little nerve-racking, but he does pretty well. Of course, Logan is usually sleeping when we leave them, but we have to start somewhere...

And...we made it!

Logan started pulling up a few days ago, but just started doing it more consistently yesterday. Now, we have to begin even more baby-proofing. I haven't found him standing in his crib yet, but he has been found standing in his crib at his Gram's house. It was kind of difficult there the other day when we went. Logan would not take a nap. So, now we are working on getting him back on his little morning and afternoon nap schedule.

Halloween Eve

Twas the night before Halloween and all through my cabinets was a little boy who could not way to go out and get some candy....HA!

Logan has found the one cabinet I will allow him to play in. He loves all my tupperware and will play with it for hours
