Wow -another month has gone by. And, boy was it a big month for Hampton. He all of a sudden started doing new things. He loves this little around-we-go still. He pretty much goes in circles all day long in it. There is a track in the carpet which is pretty funny looking. He is so happy to be in there and watch whatever is going on around him - usually something Logan is doing.
I just love how happy Hampton is. He smiles a lot and especially loves it when you make silly sounds to him. I just LOVE his smile and how it lights up the room! He is such a happy and complacent baby!!!

Hampton started sleeping through the night last week (March 31st) and has done so every night since (except last night). Hopefully, that was just a little hiccup and he goes back to sleeping the 12-13 hours he had been. You never know - he has had such sleeping issues before, this could be another one of those times for him. But, we will pray it's not!
Hamp is now on a pretty good schedule as far as eating goes. He nurses usually every 3 1/2 hours and after his 1st morning feeding and before bed feeding he has a few tablespoons of rice cereal with milk. During the two feedings in the day he has a 1/2 jar of vegetables about an hour or so afterwards. He is doing well now that he has gotten himself on a pretty good schedule.
The sleeping at night is going well...
He goes down at 7:30 every night and usually gets up around 7:30-8:00. I try to get him back down for a nap about 2 hours after he gets up, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Depending on whether or not we are going to be home that morning, he will go down the 2 hours after he gets up. If not, he will sleep in his car seat - which I hate doing because he doesn't sleep as well or as long there. I try to have him home in the mornings, but that doesn't always happen. Right now he is taking 2-3 naps a day, depending on how long he sleeps each time.
Hampton is talking a lot. He likes to say, "Mama" and "Baba" a lot. I am working on getting him to say, "dada," but he just laughs at me when I say that. It is so funny to him that he actually giggles when I say it. I am sure daddy would love to hear that soon!
Hampton did cut his first tooth on Friday, April 3rd. I am so glad because he seems to have been drooling a lot and shoving everything that he possibly could into that mouth. The second tooth appeared yesterday morning, so I am sure we will actually be able to get pictures of those very soon!
He is sitting up pretty well now, but I still put the boppy around him just so he doesn't get hurt. I hate for him to fall over. He likes to lie back on the boppy and then roll over so that he is looking out over the it. The problem with that is that he doesn't like to be on his stomach very long, so he gets cranky when he gets himself into that position.
He started rolling over a couple of weeks ago and now doesn't last very long on his back - which means we have to be right there because he doesn't like the tummy either. It is really a demanding time! A couple of times he has gotten himself onto his tummy in his crib and he really hates that, so I have to go up there and rescue him when that happens. I can't wait for him to start rolling over both ways!
Another milestone Hampton has accomplished (kind of) is getting his paci into his mouth by himself. He doesn't do it all the time, but has a few times - which I am so happy about. I feel like once they figure that out, getting them down for a nap or bedtime is so much easier. Luckily, Hampton started putting himself to sleep last month and loves his bed. I love that both boys will go to bed without having to be rocked or held! Yay for sleeping babies!!!
Hampton, Happy 7 months!
We are so enjoying watching you grow and are looking forward to all the fun months coming up.
We love you so very much,
Your family
