Preschool Orientation 8/31/09

We went to Logan's preschool orientation last Monday and it went fairly well. They have a tool set that Logan eyed right as we walked into the room and he went straight for it. He didn't want to share it and when I made him, he cried and told me he wanted to go home. I made him stay and tried to direct him toward some other toys (which didn't work). He just stayed there and waited until whoever it was was done with the tools and he went back to playing with them.

Basically, this is where he stayed the entire time. He was there to see his room, meet his teachers, and get a feel for it.

Clifford is their room theme and it is so cute. I got a lot of pictures of all the Clifford stuff in there.

Playing with the tools some more...

Us together before the meltdown. Hampton even wanted to get down and play.

I haven't seen the tools out again since that day because I think they realized they were really going to have to supervise Logan with it!

Sweet little Hudson playing with the babydoll. He is going to make a great daddy one day!

Jackson playing with the helicopter - I am so glad Logan has so many of his friends in his class! It makes me feel so much better!

Miller - another one of our good friends. He is so cute playing on the mat!

Logan's Daily Schedule
The paws had each of the children's name on them. Logan's was the bottom left :)

The room. It was a little chaotic with all the parents there, but it was organized chaos :)
The indoor playgroud!
Logan was so excited about the treehouse. He played and played. It was a good note to end our visit on. I was trying to make it an exciting ending so when he started school, he would look forward to it.
Hampton got to enjoy the indoor playground too!

Logan really liked building with the blocks. I can see some Suber Construction in his future...

Whew - He needed a drink after all that fun!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Landree! 8/29

Sara Grace and Chappell spent the night with us the 28th and it was so fun having all the kids together the next morning for breakfast. Sara Grace entertained us! Chappell and I found this hat with a matching scarf at a consignment sale and Sara Grace was so adorable in it!
Hampton couldn't figure her out!
So sweet that Logan and SG sat together for breakfast
The 3 of them having breakfast together
After breakfast, we went to Landree's birthday party. It was so fun. Logan, of course, didn't want to get in the pool, but he did have fun. He really was just concerned with the cupcakes!

There was a beautiful butterfly flying around where we were sitting that Logan loved. It is hard to see in this picture, but it is right above his head. It is yellow.
Happy Birthday, Landree!!!
I love her goggles on her head!
Cupcake time!
Finally - this is what a party is all about!!!

YUM!!!
SG even enjoyed her cupcake!
Our friends, the Woodhams, were able to make it to the party. They now live in Raleigh.
Present time!

She was so sweet telling everyone "thank you."
Miss Leslie was at the party with Daniel. Logan and Hampton were both so excited to see them - especially Miss Leslie. Hampton jumped right out of my arms for her!

We were so lucky to have found Leslie and that we got to have her keep the boys. They just fell in love with her over the summer - as did we! It was good to see her at the party!!!

August 28th and a visit from our cousin

Logan loves pushing this truck around the house, but I hate it! It is so loud (I have recently put it outside because it is so loud). Hampton fits perfectly in the back of it and Logan had fun pushing him around the house. He did start getting a little crazy and tried to "dump" him out of it because, "it's a dump truck." That ended the fun!
Action shot - Hampton loves it!

Sara Grace and Aunt Chappell came over to spend the night. Hampton and Sara Grace are so cute together. When Chappell and Sara Grace got out of the car, Logan said, "my cousin's here!" It was so sweet!
Yes, I know this is mean, but it is so darn cute! Chappell and I decided to put Hampton's hair in one of Sara Grace's bows. He does make a very pretty girl, don't you think???

He could so easily pass for a girl!
