Go Gamecocks!!!

Saturday was a big day - we left Logan and Hampton at Mimi's and I-dada's house and Dylan, Patrick, and I went to cheer on the Gamecocks to a victory over the Razorbacks. It was a great game and I had the best time!!! Dylan was torn on who to cheer for, but he really was for the hogs. He even clapped when they scored. But unfortunately for him, Patrick and I got to do most of the cheering. Right before we did the long walk into the stadium.
One fun side note - Michale Phelps was at the game and they had him on the field to introduce him at one point and it was pretty cool to have him there!

Anyway, the Gamecocks won the game 34-21 and it was nice to get to spend some alone time with just Dylan. It has been a while since we've gotten to do that and we all really enjoyed it.

Update on Hampton

We took Hampton to the GI doc on Friday because he has still been having issues with his gas and pain. The doctor said that we need to get him pooping so started him on some baby laxative. The suppositories that I had been having to give to him quit working so with that and the laxative, we have now gotten him going a little more regularly, but it really stinks because I have to give him so much medicine. He is on 3 med's right now and it is not fun at all! But, you do what you have to do and right now this is it. Hopefully, he will outgrow all of this soon and won't have to take so many medicines! Thank you to everyone who has been praying for him and please continue to do so. He is still struggling with the reflux (even with the med's) and it is so hard to see him have to deal with this! But, he is really doing better and so much happier throughout the day. He is so fun to interact with now.

Hampton is pretty good about entertaining himself for the most part which is absolutely wonderful. He coo's and is just discovering his little voice. His new big word for today is "oooohhhh" - it is sooo sweet!

Friday night, we had Supper Club and had a great time. Hampton had a little spell where he was hurting and crying so bad that he had tears coming out of his eyes and I couldn't get him calm, but luckily it only lasted about 10 minutes and then he was fine. Thank you, God!

The rest of the evening was wonderful and all the hosts did a great job!!!

Logan is 21 Months Old!

Logan turned 21 months old on Friday! I know I say that it is sad all the time, but it really is! At the same time, it is so much fun going through all these new milestones with him! Logan loves to play in our closets...

He goes in mine all the time and likes to be shut in and waits for me to get him out or flick the light on and off. Once you shut the door, he sits in there and yells, "mommy." He isn't scared - he's just saying it. It is the sweetest sound in the world to hear him laugh and say mommy or daddy at the same time! Logan also likes to shut you in the closet if you are in there picking out clothes, getting shoes, etc. Sometimes it hurts when he slams the door on you!!! Last week was so beautiful, we tried to spend some time outside. Patty and I went walking a couple of days and while we were out one evening, I pointed out the moon (it was still daylight) to Logan. So, the rest of the walk Logan kept pointing to it and telling us, "moon." Then, when we had to come in, he was trying to say that the moon is outside and it came out "moon shide" which sounded a lot like moonshine. It is so cute and funny. He doesn't quite understand why we can't see the moon all the time and that normally you see it at night. We are working on that.

We did go buy the book Goodnight Moon and read it all the time now. As many books as we have, can you believe I didn't already have that one???

One of Logan's other cute (or not so cute - depending on how you look at it) new sayings is "nope." He has been saying that for a couple of weeks now and I have corrected him to say, "no ma'am" which comes out "no man." He is so hilarious when he says it. The innocence that children have is so sweet and I just love all the things that Logan can say and how sweet it is when he does!

Logan still loves Big Trucks and Tractors, but he is starting to calm down a little. When he sees them now it is not nearly as big a deal as it used to be. I am sure he is just getting used to seeing them all the time now. He does still point them out, but with much less enthusiasm!

Logan loves to see airplanes outside and always points and says, "apane." It is so fun getting to learn the world and see it through a child's eyes. It certainly makes you realize how much we take for granted and don't pay attention to!

Logan still loves his bath time. Every other night he has one with Hampton and as soon as I get Hampton out of the tub, Logan says, "Daddy Out" which means daddy get Hampton's bath sling out of here! We have also started brushing Logan's teeth in the bathtub which seems to help. He does pretty well for me when he's not in the tub, but Patrick was having some problems getting Logan to cooperate, so we have tried the tub and it is working for now!

Logan has the sweetest laugh in the world! He does have a bad laugh too though. It is the laugh we hear when he has gotten or does something he isn't supposed to! He was laughing one day and I just knew it was not good....I went around the corner and there he was spraying the spray 'n wash at the floor.

Logan has started something else that is new, but I am not so excited about this particular event! He loves the little men that go with some of his toys and doesn't realize that the men aren't compatible with all his trucks and tractors. So when he tries to fit them in the incompatible ones and they don't fit, he becomes extremely frustrated - to the point where he is crying so hard that we have to put him in time out to get him to calm down. He has only done it a few times and hopefully doesn't do it too many more times. I know he is just frustrated and doesn't understand, but I think he is beginning to.

Logan, you are such a great little boy and we love you more and more each day! We look forward to watching you grow and learn even more. We just love it.

2 Months Old!

Monday Hampton turned 2 months old. So, he is now 9 weeks. It is so hard to believe. I just thought time flew by before and now it is really flying by! He is so alert now and actually interacts with you. He is smiling and cooing now. I just love the way he focuses on something and gets excited with his little arms flapping around. He is just the sweetest baby! Logan is doing very well with Hampton. He doesn't really pay too much attention to him throughout the day, but every day when he goes down for a nap or to bed he makes sure we let him kiss the baby goodnight. It is the sweetest thing when he asks, "bebe?" He will also just go up to the baby and talk to him sometimes. That is the best! I can't wait until Hampton has the ability to interact with Logan more. I don't think I will ever get anything done. As it is I just want to sit and watch him even if he is just sleeping!
Hampton loves the swing and he has two bouncy seats. I try to change his activities so he doesn't get bored staring at the same toys and surroundings all the time.

Hampton's little tummy is still not doing that well. We have had to give him suppositories to try and help get his system going, but after 3 days and what we thought was working, he is still struggling. It is so frustrating not knowing what to do and not being able to help him. It is just the saddest thing to see the hurt on his face when he is trying to pass the gas. Please keep praying for him and that we will get him well very soon!

I just love Hampton's little smile and now that he coo's and makes the most angelic noices, it is even better. I love this stage!!!

He is finally starting to outgrow some of his gowns. That makes me sad to have to put all the newborn clothes away - I know I won't ever get to use them again. It is pretty sad!

Hampton has also discovered his hands. He can get them into his mouth now and that is what he will usually do when I am playing with him. Here he was actually chewing and sucking on his thumb.

Hampton's neck is getting stronger and stronger. He doesn't really have that much of a bobble head anymore. He loves to lift up and look around. There have been a few incidences where he will hold his head up and knock himself with my shoulder or chin and that is so sad. His little lip comes right out and he goes into the most pitiful cry!

I think Hampton is losing some of his hair, but I am hoping he doesn't lose all of it. This is about how much Blake and Dylan had at this age. Logan was my only bald child - poor baby!

Happy 2 months, Hampton. We all love you so very much and feel so blessed that God has put you in our lives. We are loving watching you grow and look forward to all the years we get to do that!!!

Homecoming

Last Saturday night was Blake's Homecoming. He went with his girlfriend, Kristine and he said they had a great time. I finally got some pictures of them. Don't they look so cute? It is so sad to see Blake grown up like this! I am so proud of what a great young man he is and I thought I would share these pictures.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween we went over to Mimi and I-dada's house to trick-or-treat. Sara Grace was suppose to come with us, but she got sick and had to stay home. We certainly missed her!

Logan was so cute and fun. We had the best time watching him walk up to the doors and say, "trick-or-treat." He was so cute...after people would give him the candy, he would look in the basket and see what they gave him. Then, he would walk off and sign, "thank you." So we had to make sure everyone knew that Logan was signing thank you to them. I can't even begin to explain how adorable he was that night. It was soooo cute! Little Logan getting dressed for his big night out.

At one of the houses..we tried to get him to do it on his own, but we ran up to get him and helped him rather quickly when he didn't want to be patient and wait on the people to answer the door.

Just tuckered out...

All the candy Logan got...after we trick or treated in Shandon, we went down to see some friends who were tailgating in the RV parking lot across from the fairgrounds and all the RV's were set up for trick-or-treaters so Logan went out again with our friends and their little girls. He came back with his pumpkin overflowing AFTER I had already emptied his pumkin from trick-or-treating in Shandon. We now have more candy than we know what to do with!

Logan enjoyed a lollipop when we got back from Trick-or-treating.
